Yourls is an open source self-hosted URL shortener service. It needs to be configured before it can be used with Shortshare.

Configuration

First enter the endpoint URL of your Yourls installation in the Shortshare settings. If will look something like http://yourdomain.com/yourls-api.php.

You also need a Secret Signature Token in order to use your Yourls installation with Shortshare. It can be obtained in the Admin Settings of your Yourls installation. Check out their website for more information. After obtaining the token, copy it to the Shortshare settings.

Custom Keyword

Yourls supports custom parameters for your shortened URLs, e.g. yourdomain.com/your-custom-parameter forwarding to a URL of your choice. In order to enter a custom parameter before shortening an URL with Shortshare, enable Custom Keyword in the settings.
