Hive is a free or paid professional URL shortener service. It needs to be configured before it can be used with Shortshare.

Configuration

You need an API Key in order to use your Hive account with Shortshare. It can be obtained on the Developer page under Your API Key. After getting the key, copy it to the Shortshare settings.

Custom Domain

While Hive does support custom domains, they do not work with their API currently, so they cannot be used with Shortshare unfortunately.

Custom Aliases

Hive supports custom parameters for your shortened URLs, e.g. hiveam.com/your-custom-parameter forwarding to a URL of your choice. In order to enter a custom parameter before shortening an URL with Shortshare, enable Custom Alias in the settings.
